The World’s Longest Sea Crossing Bridge – China’s Next Move



The world’s longest sea crossing bridge connects China and Hong Kong. The 55 kilometers longest bridge was opened by China’s president, Xi Jinping on 23rd October.

The construction of the bridge took almost a decade and $20 billions.

According to the Chinese officials, this mega bridge tunnel is a part of China’s “Greater Bay Area” plan. This plan connects Hong Kong and Macau with 11 other southern Chinese cities. Tourism attraction is one of the cause of this plan. The supporters of this construction in China consider this as a move of China to enhance its business and reduce travel time. What is Coronavirus?

Coronavirus, a group of viruses, is caused by infectious zoonotic diseases. This virus usually transmits from animal to man.

This virus can cause problems in the respiratory tract in humans. The death toll in China’s Wuhan region is significant due to this Novel Coronavirus.

Coronavirus Symptoms

According to the World Health Organization, coronaviruses cause respiratory problems in particular.

It causes may vary from the common cold to Middle-East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

The impacts are severe in China’s Wuhan region.

Fever, respiratory problems, and lung damage were found as the symptoms and causes of coronavirus.

However, it has not been able to come to a complete conclusion about its serious impact.

Coronavirus Prevention and Precautions 

While no vaccine for coronavirus has yet been found, the usual recommendations are still in place.

Always wash hands with good water, cover up the mouth, nose, and throat while coughing and sneezing.

Cook well before eating food, including eggs and meat. Staying away from people with infections is recommended.

If you have visited coronavirus countries in the past two weeks and you have symptoms of respiratory distress, please contact the appropriate doctor immediately and take appropriate precautions.

Dr. Anita Mathew, a specialist in Fortis Hospital in Mumbai, said that these people must share and discuss the travel details and treatment details with the doctor.

  • Always keep all parts of the body clean, including hands
  • Keeping the environment clean
  • If the symptoms are present, wear masks as a precaution
  • Close mouth and nose with a handkerchief while sneezing 
  • If you have any mucus and bleeding during breathing, wash your hands immediately
  • Stay away from those who are suffering from fever and flu.

The Ministry of Health has advised that those who visit or return to China should seek immediate medical attention if they notice any unusual changes or symptoms in their body.
